Here you are sitting in front of your computer, searching for your next home to buy as you do every evening. You and your family have projected a move in the next 4-6 months but you aren’t ready to be ‘out in the field’ quite yet. You are looking at pictures of homes to get a general idea of what is on the market. However you know that in order to find out what the exact address is you have two choices… Drive thru the neighborhood and search for that FOR SALE sign you recognize; or you reluctantly hit that Receive More Information button and wait for an Agent to get ahold of you. All to get… THE ADDRESS.
Before November 1, 2008 if you were searching on a comprehensive MLS-based website the address were hidden. Not any more! RMLS rules have changed and allow websites to pull the address and other pertinent information in order to display it on their maps. Be aware that there may be websites out there that choose to continue to hide the information and it is their prerogative.
If you haven’t checked out the Hasson.com website, you may find it a great way to do your searching. You have the choices of map search, simple search, zip code search, MLS search and address search. Along with a tool called Home Tracker. You are able to save the houses that catch your eye and will be alerted via email to any changes, (i.e. price change, pending) that happens. Immediate gratification.:)
Another great tool for buyers is Estately. They have done a great job of making it extremely user friendly. With visuals of city boundaries, past home sales, neighborhood states and more. Estately pulls all of its listings from its relationships with the local MLS’s.
Happy Searching!!
If you have any questions how to set up your profile on Hasson Home Tracker or searching criteria on Estately, feel free to ask me for help. I would be happy to assist.
